When a tablet connected to the monitor via a cable restarts, screen projection no longer works

Problem

When a tablet that is connected to the monitor via a USB-C to HDMI cable restarts, screen projection no longer works.

Cause

This is caused by a compatibility issue between the tablet and cable. When the tablet restarts, it stops sending a signal, and as a result, the monitor displays a black screen.

Solution

  1. Disconnect the cable from the tablet or monitor and then reconnect it. The screen protection will then resume.
  2. Use a USB-C to DP cable to connect the tablet to the monitor.
  3. Use an HDMI cable together with a HUAWEI MateDock to connect the tablet to the monitor.
  4. If the issue remains unresolved, feel free to contact Huawei after-sales personnel for assistance.
