Problem
When the watch is connected to a phone that runs Android 9 or earlier, WhatsApp messages pop up on the lock screen of the phone, but the watch does not ring or vibrate, and the messages can't be found in the watch's message center.
Cause
Once Popup notification is enabled in WhatsApp, WhatsApp messages will be previewed on the phone lock screen, but the watch will no longer be able to receive those messages and remind you of them.
Solution
Open WhatsApp on your phone, go to Settings > Notifications > Messages and groups > Popup notification, and select No popup. Your watch will then be able to receive WhatsApp messages and remind you of them.
