How to set the triple-tap gesture on HUAWEI earbuds

How to set the triple-tap gesture on HUAWEI earbuds

HUAWEI earbuds running the latest firmware version support the triple-tap gesture, which can be set to Previous song, Next song, or None by opening the AI Life/HUAWEI Audio Connect app, accessing the earbuds card, and tapping Gestures.

Requirements

  1. Earbuds models:
    • FreeBuds 6/FreeBuds 5
    • FreeBuds 6i/FreeBuds 5i
    • FreeClip
    • FreeBuds SE 4 ANC/FreeBuds SE 3/FreeBuds SE 2
  2. System:

    HarmonyOS/Android/iOS

  3. Version:

    HarmonyOS: Update AudioAccessoryManager to 15.0.1.339 or later.

    Android: Update the plug-in in the AI Life app to 15.0.1.339 or later.

    iOS: Update the AI Life app to 14.2.0.308 or later, or update the HUAWEI Audio Connect app to 1.0.1.305 or later.

    HUAWEI Audio Connect is currently supported only on iOS devices. For details, see Introduction to the features and usage of the HUAWEI Audio Connect app.

How to use

Perform the following to use the triple-tap gesture:

  1. Pair your earbuds.
  2. Open the AI Life/HUAWEI Audio Connect app, access the earbuds card, and tap Gestures. Then select the desired feature for the triple-tap gesture.
