Charging is slow or interrupted when my HUAWEI phone is charged with an original in-car wireless charger

Problem:

When the phone is charged with a non-HUAWEI wireless charging cradle, the charging speed may be slow or the charging may be interrupted.

Cause:

  • Most cars are designed with a large wireless charging slot, to charge phones of different sizes. Due to the central placement of the wireless charging coil, placing your phone at the edge may result in slower charging or no charging at all due to a weaker magnetic field. Moreover, the bumps and vibrations encountered during driving can displace your phone, potentially affecting the charging speed or causing the charging process to be interrupted.
  • Keep your phone in a suitable charging environment. If the ambient temperature is too high or your phone is overheating, the charging will be slower or even stopped.

Solution:

  • When your phone is charged with an in-car wireless charging cradle, place it in the center of the charging area so that there is enough magnetic field to activate the wireless charging module. If the phone temperature is too high, it is recommended that you cool it down before charging.
  • If the issue persists, remove the case and try again. If the issue still cannot be resolved, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
