The file saved on the desktop of my HUAWEI computer always pops up as the second item on the left

Problem

After a file is saved on the desktop, it always pops up as the second item on the left.

Cause

The sorting mode is incorrectly set or the Microsoft system is defective.

Solution

  1. Right-click on the desktop, go to Personalization > Themes > Desktop icon settings, and deselect Allow themes to change desktop icons. Then, display This PC on the desktop and place it at the top as the first item.

  2. Right-click any blank area on the desktop and choose View. Deselect Auto-sort and Align icons with mesh.
