Disconnecting and Reconnecting a watch to the same or different Android/Huawei device

Disconnecting a watch and rconnecting it to an Android/Huawei phone device which uses the same Huawei ID

Disconnection can be done in two ways: through the Huawei Health app or directly from the watch side.

Disconnecting via Huawei Health:

1. Go to Huawei Health app

2. In Huawei Health app click the device tab

3. In the device tab click “: :”

4. Click “Unpair device”

The watch will remain on the watch face screen, and no paring screen will be shown on it


Reconnecting via Huawei Health:

1. Go to Huawei Health app

2. In Huawei Health app click the device tab

3. In the device tab click “: :”

4. Click “Add device”

5. Choose the device you want to reconnect to

6. Click “Connect”

7. Phone device will display – “Bluetooth message syncing”

8. Phone device will display – “Confirm paring on wearable device”

9. The watch will display paring request

10. Click – accept

 

Note: If you see the watch face (as on below screen), but you’re unable to reconnect, please follow the procedure below to trigger the pairing screen.

 

Disconnecting via Watch:

1. Go to Watch Settings

2. Find “System& Updates”

3. Click “Disconnect” 

4. ℹ️Action will trigger the return to the paring screen. 

 

On Watch 5 and Watch GT6 option connect new device will also trigger the paring screen.

 

Reconnecting back via Huawei Health:

1. Go to Huawei health app

2. Navigate to device tab

3. Find your device

4. Click “Reconnect”

5. Status – “Connected” will be displayed in the device tab

 

 

Disconnecting the watch and reconnecting it to another Android/Huawei phone device which uses a different Huawei ID.

ℹ️If you are reconnecting the watch to a different phone using a different Huawei ID, actions will be required on both the Huawei Health app and the watch. Factory reset is required in this case.

Disconnecting the Watch – factory reset:

1. Go to Settings on watch device

2. Scroll down to “System& Updates” and click it

3. Find “Reset”

4. Accept pop-up – “Resetting will erase all your data. Reset?”

5. Follow the steps from (link: Paring guide) to connect the new device.
