Perform the following to troubleshoot:
1. Replace the data cable
It is recommended that you connect your phone using a standard USB cable, because non-standard USB cables may only support charging.
2. Select the Transfer photos or Transfer files connection mode
Once you use a USB cable to connect to a computer, select the Transfer photos or Transfer files connection mode.
3. Enable USB debugging in Owner mode or MainSpace
Developer options and USB debugging cannot be enabled in minor mode of Digital Balance, sub-user (multi-user) mode or PrivateSpace. Perform the following steps:
- Switch the device to Owner mode or MainSpace:
- Switch to Owner mode: Go to and select Owner or Admin.
- Switch from PrivateSpace to MainSpace: Go to and select Quit.
- Disable Digital Balance: Go to and disable Digital Balance.
- Enable and enter Developer mode or Developer options.
- It is strongly recommended that you disable Developer options during daily use to prevent device exceptions caused by accidental operations.
- Open Settings and search for Software version.
- Tap Build number seven consecutive times until You are now a developer! is displayed.
- Go to Settings > System & updates > Developer options.
- It is strongly recommended that you disable Developer options during daily use to prevent device exceptions caused by accidental operations.
- On the Developer options screen, enable USB debugging.
4. Enable Allow ADB debugging in charge only mode
Open Settings, search for and access Developer options, and enable Allow ADB debugging in charge only mode and USB debugging.
