My HUAWEI phone/tablet unexpectedly disconnects from my Bluetooth earbuds/speaker/car kit

Problem:

The HUAWEI phone/tablet unexpectedly disconnects from the Bluetooth device.

Solution:

Perform the following to troubleshoot:

1. Environmental impact

a. Move away from the wireless interference sources, such as a microwave oven and a router, as they may affect Bluetooth.

b. Bluetooth may also be affected if your phone/tablet is far away from the device (more than 10 meters) or if there are obstacles between them. Adjust the distance or the position of the device, and check whether the issue is resolved.

2. Bluetooth device issues

a. If the peer device is a pair of earbuds or a speaker, restore the earbuds or speaker to their factory settings and try again. (For earbuds or speakers from other vendors, see the device manual or contact the device vendor.)

b. Connect the Bluetooth device to another phone/tablet and check whether the issue persists. If the issue persists, it may be caused by the Bluetooth device. In this case, try using another Bluetooth device.

3. Car kit connection issues

a. If the car kit disconnects from your phone/tablet, delete the pairing records on both devices, change the Bluetooth name of your phone/tablet to a simple combination of letters and digits, and reconnect the two devices. During the connection, limit the number of contacts synced to the car kit, or do not sync contacts. (If your phone/tablet repeatedly disconnects from the car kit, it may be due to the Bluetooth name. Alternatively, this issue may be caused by an excessive number of contacts, or contact profile pictures, special characters, or emojis that the car kit cannot process during contact syncing.)

b. If you are playing music on your car kit, it may fail to process the lyrics, leading to playback lags or disconnection.

Disable syncing lyrics to car kits (instead of showing lyrics on the home screen) in the music player app.

Take KuGou as an example. Open the music app, tap the menu icon in the upper right corner, tap the settings icon in the lower left corner, and disable the car kit lyrics feature. For details about the steps, contact the app's customer service.

  • It is recommended that you search for "reset network settings" in Settings and try resetting the network settings.

Resetting network settings will only delete the connection records for Wi-Fi, mobile data, Bluetooth, and NearLink, and will not delete other data or modify other settings on your phone/tablet.

If the issue persists

If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
