Connecting three monitors to one host to use the Surround feature

The HUAWEI MateView GT monitors support the Surround feature. When three monitors are connected to a host that comes with the NVIDIA discrete graphics card and supports the Surround feature, an ultra-wide screen will then be set up to display images from apps such as games and provide an immersive experience.

  1. The host must have at least three video output ports.
  2. Apps must support a 10320 x 1440 resolution. The actual support for a 10320 x 1440 resolution may vary depending on the app. For details, contact the app vendor.

To use the Surround feature, perform the following operations:

  1. Prepare three video output cables such as DP cables, connect one end of each cable to a video input port (for example, a DP port) of a monitor, connect the other end to a video output port (for example, a DP port) of the host, and then power on the monitors and host.
  2. Right-click a blank area on the desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel.

  3. Click Configure Surround, PhysX, select Span displays with Surround, select the current discrete graphics card for Processor under PhysX settings, and click Configure under Span displays with Surround.

  4. On the displayed NVIDIA Set Up Surround screen, select the three monitors to be connected to under Displays, set Resolution to 10320 x 1440, and click Enable Surround. The Surround feature will then take effect for you enjoy a better experience with an ultra-wide screen when playing games that support a 10320 x 1440 resolution.

    • You can use your mouse to drag 1, 2, and 3 on the NVIDIA Set Up Surround screen to adjust the sequence of the three screens based on the actual position of the three monitors.
    • After the cables are connected, we recommended that you arrange the cables and reinstall the protective cover to prevent dust from entering the ports.
