Water mist appears on the camera lens of my HUAWEI phone

Problem

The camera lens of the HUAWEI phone fogs up.

Cause

This is normal. When the phone moves from a low-temperature area to a high-temperature area (for example, from a cold outdoor environment to a warm indoor environment), the temperature changes sharply, causing condensation inside the camera lens.

Solution

Place your phone in a dry and well-ventilated environment or in a sealed bag with desiccant. Keep your phone still for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. The water mist will disappear.

If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.

Scenarios where water mist may appear in daily life:

  1. The device is taken out of a humid environment, such as a sauna.
  2. The device is taken into a cold outdoor environment from a warm indoor environment.
  3. The device is taken out of a pocket (or some other warm place) when the temperature is low.
  4. The device is taken into an air-conditioned area from some place warm, or put directly against an AC vent.
