Unable to use Bluetooth proximity detection

Problem

When placing the phone or PC close to the printer, no dialog box is displayed.

Cause

1. Bluetooth is not enabled on your phone or PC.

2. The printer is not powered on.

3. Your phone or PC does not support proximity detection via Bluetooth.

4. Your PC does not support PC Manager.

5. The Huawei Share icon is more than 30 cm away from your phone or 100 cm away from your computer.

6. The printer is in Sleep mode.

Solution

  1. Check on your phone or PC whether Bluetooth is enabled (to do this, go to Settings > Bluetooth).
  2. Check whether the printer is powered on.
  3. Use a Huawei phone or tablet running HarmonyOS 2.0 or later.
  4. Use PC Manager 11.1.6 or later. For details about the PC models that support proximity detection, visit https://consumer.huawei.com/cn/support/huaweishareonehop/specs/models/#printer-a0
  5. Place your phone or PC close to the Huawei Share icon. (The Huawei Share icon must be less than 30 cm away from your phone or less than 100 cm away from your computer.)
  6. The Network button does not blink when the printer is in Sleep mode. You can disable Sleep mode by pressing and holding the Network button for 5 seconds until it blinks.
