An error message displays when I power on my HUAWEI phone/tablet, indicating that the device is running unofficial software

Problem:

When the phone/tablet is powered on, an error message displays indicating that the phone/tablet is running unofficial software, and that the system has been modified by a third party. This may imply serious security risks.

Cause:

This message is displayed because a non-Huawei official system is installed on your phone/tablet. It will display every time the device is powered on, and cannot be closed. However, it only displays for about 5 seconds, and does not affect the startup.

Solution:

• If the non-Huawei official system was installed on your own, this message will not affect your usage of the phone/tablet.
• If you have not installed the non-Huawei official system on your phone/tablet, this message indicates that the system was installed on your phone/tablet before you purchased it. In this case, contact the retailer where you bought the device.
• If you wish to remove this message, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorised Huawei Customer Service Centre for assistance.
