Stress monitoring is inaccurate or the stress value does not display on my HUAWEI watch/band
Stress monitoring is inaccurate or the stress value does not display on my HUAWEI watch/band |
- Make sure that your watch/band and the Huawei Health app have been updated to their latest versions.
- Results from stress tests manually done via Huawei Health can only be viewed in the app, but cannot be synced to your HUAWEI watch/band.
If the issue persists, perform the following steps to troubleshoot.
Enable Automatic stress test in the Huawei Health app
Open Huawei Health, navigate to the device details screen, touch Health monitoring, and enable Automatic stress test.
- When this feature is enabled, your wearable device will detect your activity status, and will only measure your heart rate variability (HRV) and calculate your stress level if you're at rest. It won't run the test if any arm movements are detected, and corresponding data will be missing in the bar chart on your device screen. This is normal and does not indicate any issue with your device.
- When you're at rest, a stress test will be automatically run every 30 minutes. This interval will become longer if you're engaged in exercise.
Wear your watch/band properly and take measurements when you're still
- For optimal stress monitoring results, fasten the watch/band about one finger width above your wrist bone for a snug and breathable fit, with the screen facing up and the sensor in direct contact with your skin.
- Stress tests will not run when you're working out or when frequent arm movements are detected. For optimal stress data accuracy, rest for a while before starting a test and keep still during the test. The device will automatically monitor your stress when you've been resting for an extended period of time, for example, while you're asleep.
Touch Calibrate
For first-time use or upon a change of HUAWEI ID, please go to the Health screen of the Huawei Health app, select the Stress card, and touch Calibrate.
Be sure to wear your watch properly before starting. During the calibration, keep your arm still and answer the calibration questionnaire truthfully. Your answer helps determine calibration accuracy, which impacts the reliability of your future stress measurements.
If the calibration fails, clear the cache of the Huawei Health app by going to Settings > Apps & services > Apps > Huawei Health > Storage > Clear cache (using a HUAWEI phone as an example here).
Rule out other factors
Caffeine, nicotine, alcohol, and some psychoactive drugs may affect the accuracy of stress tests. Heart conditions, asthma, exercise, and the placement of your wearable device may also affect the test results.
Data and results from HUAWEI watches/bands are for reference only, and should not be used as a basis for medical diagnosis or treatment. It is recommended that you choose suitable stress relief services based on the analysis and suggestions provided on the stress management screen, to manage your stress for greater productivity in life and at work.
Use the other arm for stress tests
If the issue persists, put the watch/band on your other arm, and try again.
If none of the above resolves the issue, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
