When playing content with both earphones but only one has no sound, you can try cleaning the metal contacts on the earphones and charging case, then place both earphones in the case to charge for 5 minutes before attempting to reconnect. If the issue persists, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
Perform the following to troubleshoot:
- Restart the audio player and try again. Check whether the earphones' firmware is up to date.
- Go to , touch
next to the earphones' Bluetooth name, select General settings, and enable Media audio and Call audio. - During calls, switch the audio output to the earphones.
- Restart your phone/tablet, restore the earphones to their factory settings, and reconnect them. (Please refer to Restoring the earphones to their factory settings and Restoring HUAWEI WATCH Buds to their factory settings.)
- If your earphones are connected to a non-HUAWEI phone/tablet, taking the earphones off and then putting them back on during virtual voice calls (WeChat calls, Tencent meetings, or WhatsApp calls) may cause the audio to fail to switch back to the earphones. In this case, place the earphones in the charging case, close the case for 5 seconds, and then put them on again.
- Check whether a message displays indicating that WeChat is using the Bluetooth call channel. If so, touch the drop-down arrow and touch Stop, or disable and then re-enable Bluetooth on your phone.
- If the earphones are connected to your phone via Bluetooth but Media/Call audio is not enabled, sound will play from the phone speaker. In such a case, place the earphones in the charging case and close the case, or attach the earphones together. After 5 seconds, reconnect the earphones to your phone.
Call audio is played in speaker mode when there is an incoming call, and the FreeLace Pro 2/FreeBuds earphones are connected to two devices simultaneously:
It is recommended that you manually pause the app on the first device before answering an incoming call from the second device.
Currently, some apps, like HUAWEI Video and bilibili, will automatically pause when there is an incoming call.
If the issue persists, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
