| Unable to tap Reset phone in the system recovery mode on my HUAWEI phone |
Problem:
The phone cannot be powered on as usual and enters the system recovery mode automatically, and the Reset phone button is grayed out.
Solution:
Restoring your phone to its factory settings will erase all data from your phone, including photos, apps, and settings. Exercise caution when performing this operation.
Procedure:
- Enter Recovery mode.
- Power off the phone and end the USB connection.
- Models with physical Volume buttons: Press and hold the Power button and the Volume up button until the Recovery screen is displayed.
- Models without physical Volume buttons: After the phone vibrates during startup, press the Power button five times in a row.
- Perform the restoration operation.
- Go to Clear data > Reset phone.
- If the system prompts you to enter yes, confirm it as prompted.
- Complete the restart.
- After the restoration is complete, tap Back.
- Select Restart to enter the system.

If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
Thanks for your feedback.
