APN reverts to the initial settings after a phone call is answered or made

Problem:

APN reverts to the initial settings after a phone call is answered or made.

Cause:

On the APN settings screen, Bearer has been set to LTE, which results in your phone switching back to the 2G/3G network when a call is answered or made. As a result, the APN automatically reverts to the default APN in the 2G/3G network.

Solution:

When adding an APN, set its Bearer to Unspecified to ensure that the new APN is always in use rather than the initial APN.

If you have created an APN, open Settings, search for and touch Access Point Names, touch the icon next to the new APN, then set Bearer to Unspecified.
