Microsoft Office apps lag or freeze

Cause:

The processing speed of Microsoft Office apps is affected by the hardware graphics acceleration of the computer's graphics card. Once hardware graphics acceleration has been enabled, the Microsoft Office apps may lag or freeze when a large file is being processed.

Solution:

Disable hardware graphics acceleration. To do this, perform the following:

1. Open a Microsoft Office app such as Microsoft Office Word, click File > Options > Advanced.

   

   

2. Check Disable hardware graphics acceleration under Display and click OK.
