This information applies to both Huawei phones and tablets.
Enabling the Find Device feature
The steps to enable the device search function are as follows: (This method depends on the system version, please choose the operation according to the applicable scenario):
Scenario A (EMUI 5.0 or later):
1. Log in to your HUAWEI ID in Settings.
2. Go to Settings > HUAWEI ID > Cloud > Find Device > Tap the Enable button.
Scenario B (earlier than EMUI 5.0): Settings > Security > Find Device > Tap the Enable button.
Find My Device
Make sure that Find My Device is enabled on your device.
Method 1 (only for Huawei phones/tablets): Go to Find Device app > Log in to your HUAWEI ID > Tap the device > Select the device you want to locate.
Method 2 (only for Huawei phones/tablets): Go to Settings > HUAWEI ID > Cloud > Find Device > Select the device you want to locate.
Method 3 (no device restrictions): Click this link > Log in to your HUAWEI ID > Tap Find Device > Select the device you want to locate.
If you cannot find the "Find Device" option, please update your system to EMUI 10.1 or a later version. To check or update your system version, go to Settings > System & updates > Software update > Check for updates.
