Problem:
The HUAWEI phone/tablet heats up obviously in summer.
Cause:
With the advent of summer, the ambient temperature of the phone/tablet rises, which is not conducive to heat dissipation. Therefore, the phone/tablet heats up more easily than in other seasons, especially in some special scenarios, for example, when it is used under strong light for a long time or it is continuously exposed to sunlight, its screen brightness increases automatically by default, and so its display power consumption increases, causing the device to further heat up.
Suggestion:
- Avoid placing your device in a poorly ventilated place, such as on a bed or blanket.
- Use an original protective case with a good heat dissipation performance.
- Avoid using the device in direct sunlight.
- Go to Settings > Battery and enable Power Saving mode. This mode not only ensures smooth user experience, but also extends the battery life and helps your phone/tablet generate less heat.
- Go to Settings > Display & brightness and set Screen resolution and Screen refresh rate to Low/Standard. This mode will change the screen definition and smoothness, reduce power consumption, and help your phone/tablet generate less heat.
- Avoid running too many apps in the background. Running multiple apps in the background may cause high CPU usage and cause your phone/tablet to heat up. Therefore, it is recommended that you clear the apps that are idle in the background periodically.
If the issue persists
If your phone/tablet heats up during normal use, or fails to cool down after you restart it and place it idle for a while, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
