The metal shield for the hinge on the back of the HUAWEI Mate Xs is scratched or smudged

Problem:

The metal shield stays in contact with the phone's rear covers when the phone is folded, and results in scratches and smudges being left.

Cause:

The HUAWEI Mate X and Mate Xs use a flexible screen that is foldable using a hinge. There are tiny gaps between the hinge's metal shield and the two rear cover parts. If small objects like sand or stones enter these gaps, the metal shield may get scratched from the bending movements of the phone.

Solution:

To prevent this from happening, keep your phone away from these kinds of objects before folding it.
