Before pairing the HUAWEI M-Pencil (2nd generation) with a PC in S mode for the first time, you need to run HuaweiPenAPP.
If your PC was in S mode before it was shipped to you, you need to run HuaweiPenAPP before pairing the HUAWEI M-Pencil (2nd generation) with your PC for the first time, even if you have exited S mode.
Open HuaweiPenAPP
Click the search icon on the taskbar, enter HuaweiPenAPP in the search box, and run the app. If you cannot find HuaweiPenAPP, click the Microsoft Store icon on the taskbar to open Microsoft Store. In the Microsoft Store search box, enter HuaweiPenAPP and search for it. Follow the onscreen instructions to install the app and open it.
Pair
After you open HuaweiPenAPP, attach the stylus notch to the right side of the top of your PC. A connection window will pop up. Follow the onscreen instructions to finish pairing. After the initial pairing is complete, the stylus can automatically reconnect to your device via Bluetooth, and you will be able to use it immediately.
- The stylus does not support a Bluetooth connection with Windows devices. To enable a Bluetooth connection with Windows, press Win+I to open the Settings screen and go to Bluetooth & devices > Add device. Attach the stylus to the right side of the top of your PC and follow the onscreen instructions to finish pairing.
- It is recommended that you attach the stylus to your device as shown in the figure below, and wait for a prompt to be displayed on the PC screen. Attaching the stylus incorrectly may result in failure to pair or charge the stylus.
