Data supported by Cloud backup |
Cloud backup can back up your gallery (photos and videos), contacts (excluding those saved on the SIM card), calendar (events), notepad, Wi-Fi (name and password), call log, recordings (including call recordings), messaging (SMS, MMS, and enhanced messages), pre-installed browser (bookmarks), input methods (lexicon and settings), blocked settings, SmartCare (including train and flight cards), music files (applicable only to HUAWEI P and Mate series), phone manager/optimizer, clock (alarms), weather (cities of interest), camera (settings), home screen icon layout, system settings, and certain app data and apps (excluding twin app).
- Cloud backup does not support backup of files that have been created or downloaded. To save such files on the cloud, use the Files app to upload the related files to Huawei Drive
- If you have enabled Cloud Gallery for your device, photos and videos in the Gallery will be backed up in the cloud space via Cloud Gallery. Cloud backup will not back them up again. This does not affect the backup of other data, such as Contacts, Notepad, and Calendar data.
- Cloud backup can be used to back up data on the local device, as well as images and videos on the memory card..
- Cloud backup identifies only the card slot (instead of the phone number) when backing up SIM card data. For example, after restoring backup data for SIM 1 to your local device, the data will still be indicated as backup data for SIM 1 even when another SIM card has been inserted into SIM card tray 1.
- In Cloud 10.6.2.300 or later, the user can select specific items to back up or restore for Gallery and third-party app data.
Thanks for your feedback.
