Unauthorized software detected displays in the notification panel on my HUAWEI phone/tablet

Problem:

The "Unauthorized software detected" message displays in the notification panel on the user's phone/tablet.

Cause:

Unauthorized third-party apps are pre-installed on the phone/tablet.

Solution:

  1. Contact your dealer for further details.
  2. If you don't want this notification to appear again, touch Don't remind me again in the lower left corner of the notification.
  3. You can also restore your device to its factory settings, and download the latest full package by performing the following operations:
    1. Back up your data.
    2. Open Settings, search for and access Reset phone, and follow the onscreen instructions to restore your device to its factory settings.
    3. Go to Settings > System > System update > > Download latest full package, and update your device.

      • Make sure that you go to the preceding path to download the latest full package before updating your device.
      • This solution does not apply to EMUI 9.0.1 and Magic UI 2.0.1 or later version, as they do not include the Download latest full package option. Please go to the next solution.
  4. If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
