Overview

If an APK file downloaded through your browser fails to install, follow these troubleshooting methods to resolve the issue.

Method 1: Install Manually

Manually Install the File:

1. Open the Files app on your device.

2. Go to Internal storage > Download.

3. Locate the downloaded .apk file and tap it to initiate the installation manually.

Method 2: Update the Browser

An outdated browser version may cause package verification or download errors.

1. Open HUAWEI AppGallery.

2. Search for Browser (or tap Me > Updates).

3. Tap Update to install the latest version.

4. Download the APK file again and try installing it.

Method 3: Download Using an Alternative Browser

If the issue persists, the downloaded file may be corrupted or blocked by browser-specific extensions:

1. Open AppGallery and download an alternative browser.

2. Download the APK file again using the new browser and proceed with the installation.
