1. Unable to import contacts using HiSuite

Notes for importing contacts using HiSuite:

• Ensure that the exported contact file is not modified.

Note: The exported contact file is a .csv file. Modifying this file will change the file type and lead to file parsing failure when you import it.

• Contact files exported (except for vCard files) from third-party assistants cannot be imported.
• Google account contacts cannot be imported.
• Only one .csv/.vCard file can be selected at a time.

2. Edit contact profile photos using HiSuite

To edit the profile photo of a contact, select the contact on the contacts page, then move the cursor to the contact's profile photo on the right side of the contact details page. An editing icon will be available if a profile photo has been added for this contact.

Note: Editing contact profile photos is not longer supported on version 9.0.3.300.

3. Unable to send SMS messages using HiSuite

Troubleshoot the issue as follows:

• Check to determine if your phone has a sufficient balance.
• Check to see if you can send an SMS message using the preinstalled messaging app. If you can't, the issue may lie with your SIM card carrier.
• When a message is displayed on the computer which prompts you to set the default messaging app, set HiSuite as the default one. At the same time, confirm this change on your phone when a prompt message pops up.

• Make sure the SMS message is not empty.

4. Does HiSuite support importing SMS messages?

You can only import SMS messages that are exported using HiSuite. Make sure the exported SMS message files are not modified.

5. Restore the default messaging app using HiSuite

Open the Messaging app on your phone. When a red prompt message is displayed, touch Set on the right, and then confirm to restore the default messaging app.

6. Import SMS messages from an iPhone to a Huawei phone using HiSuite

You cannot connect your Huawei phone with an iPhone using HiSuite, so you cannot import SMS messages from an iPhone to your phone directly.

You can try the following method:

1. Use Tongbu assistant (Windows edition) to export the SMS messages from the iPhone to a .csv file.
2. Install HiSuite (version 8.0.1.307 or later) on the Windows computer.
3. Connect your Huawei phone to the computer.
4. On the computer, open HiSuite and use its import feature to import the .csv file to your phone.
