An error message is displayed indicating that no backup records can be found when HiSuite is used for backup and restoration

1. Check whether the backup directory is correct

  • On your computer, go to HiSuite > Menu > Settings > Backup settings, click Open, and find the backup record folder.

  • The selected directory must be the upper-level directory of mobile phone model folder, that is, the backup folder.

    If not, click Edit to change the directory.

2. Check whether the backup records are complete

  • If the data is backed up on a device running HarmonyOS 5.0 or later:

    Open HiSuite, go to Menu > Settings > Backup, and click Open. Check whether the info.json files exist in the corresponding backup folders, and their sizes should be greater than 0 KB. If the file name extension is set to not be displayed, their names should be info. If the files do not exist, the backup file is damaged. In this case, the system displays a message indicating that there is no backup record.

  • If the data is backed up on a device running a HarmonyOS version earlier than 5.0:

    Open HiSuite, go to Menu > Settings > Backup, and click Open. Check whether the info.xml and backupinfo.ini files exist in the corresponding backup folders, and their sizes should be greater than 0 KB. If the file name extension is set to not be displayed, their names should be info and backupinfo. If the files do not exist, the backup file is damaged. In this case, the system displays a message indicating that there is no backup record.
