Try performing the following:
- Uninstall the HiSuite APK on the phone, reconnect the phone to the computer, and back up data using HiSuite.
- Reinstall the Backup app.
Open Settings and search for Apps. Find Backup, and go to . Then go back to HiSuite and follow the onscreen prompts to try backing up data again.
If Backup is not displayed in Apps, tap Show system processes in the menu in the upper right corner of the Apps screen, then search for Backup again.
If Backup cannot be installed, disable App Guard mode since software installation is not allowed in App Guard mode.
- Configure the app's launch settings.
- EMUI 5.X & EMUI 8.X: Go to , find Backup, enable Auto-launch, disable Manage manually, and turn on the switches of Auto-launch, Secondary launch, and Run in background in the displayed dialog box.
EMUI 9.0 or later: Go to Optimizer > Launch manager, tap the three-dot or four-dot icon in the upper right corner, and select Show system processes. Find Backup and HiSuite, disable auto management, and turn on the switches of Auto-launch, Secondary launch, and Run in background in the displayed dialog box.
Note: If Show system processes is not displayed, find the Backup app in Launch manager.


4. Go to Optimizer > Settings, disable Smart tune-up, and reconnect the device.
- EMUI 5.X & EMUI 8.X: Go to , find Backup, enable Auto-launch, disable Manage manually, and turn on the switches of Auto-launch, Secondary launch, and Run in background in the displayed dialog box.
