China Telecom card loses data connection when Zero interruptions (Do not disturb) is turned on

Problem:

When using a China Telecom card, turning on Zero interruptions (Do not disturb) in causes mobile data interruptions during gaming.

Cause:

When Zero interruptions (Do not disturb) is turned on with a China Telecom SIM card inserted, a restart of the system Modem mode is activated. The Modem needs to carry out the PS domain's detach and Attach processes, and also re-register to notify the network about the phone's availability. In addition, the X-mode also needs to send a power-off registration request. This whole process takes about 2 to 20 seconds (depending on network circumstances), causing a momentary network interruption. Note that when a China Telecom card is inserted and Zero interruptions (Do not disturb) is selected, the internal operating mode needs to be switched to carry out the re-registration and a power-off registration request needs to be sent. This operation requires 2 to 20 seconds (depending on network circumstances), which causes a momentary drop in data connection.

Solution:

When you are using a China Telecom card, please turn on Zero interruptions before your gaming session begins or after it ends. If you are using the dropzone to turn on the Zero interruptions (Do not disturb) function while in a gaming app, it is best to do so before your gaming session begins so as to avoid the possibility of data interruptions. Wait for the network to recover before beginning a new gaming session.

The immersive experience Zero interruptions brings also means that calls are blocked, so it is recommended that you exercise caution before turning it on. If your phone is not receiving calls, first make sure the Do not disturb mode is not turned on.
