I open a video using WeChat but I am prompted with the message indicating that the Flash content cannot be displayed, the Flash plug-in is not installed in my browser, or the Flash plug-in version I have installed is low

Problem

The user opens WeChat and opens a video from a link or an official WeChat account, but is prompted with the message indicating that the Flash content cannot be displayed, the Flash plug-in is not installed in the browser, or the Flash plug-in version is low. The user is therefore unable to watch videos.

Cause

There is an incompatibility issue between some video sources, Flash player, and WeChat.

Solution

Open the video using a browser.

Solution 1:

Use the default browser to open the video or copy the address of the video and open it in a browser, as shown in the following figure.

Solution 2:

Set the browser to open videos by default. (If you often need to open this type of video, it is recommended that you use this method.)
