Problem
When the user opens Google Chrome and browse some webpages, there is a high chance that the screen artifacts will appear. But it doesn't occur with other applications running at the same time. The following figure is an example of visual artifacts:
Cause
There is a compatibility issue between Google Chrome and the system.
Solution
Method 1: Perform the following to disable Use hardware acceleration when available.
- Click the More icon (three dots) in the top-right corner and select Settings.
- Click Advanced.
- Scroll down to find System and enable Use hardware acceleration when available.
- Restart Chrome.
Method 2: It is recommended to use the Microsoft Edge browser or Internet Explorer browser that comes preinstalled with Windows 10.
