Abnormal stand reminders on my HUAWEI watch/band

With Stand reminder enabled, your wearable device will monitor your activity throughout the day in increments (60 minutes by default). It'll vibrate and turn on its screen to display a reminder, to prompt you to get up and move around if you've been sitting for over an hour between 08:00 and 12:00 or between 14:30 and 21:00.

How to set stand reminders

Open the Huawei Health app, access the device details screen, tap Health monitoring, and enable Stand. For more information, please refer to Stand reminder on your HUAWEI watch/band.

My watch/band sometimes does not remind me of standing up after I enable Stand

  1. Do Not Disturb mode enabled

Your device will not send reminders during specified Do Not Disturb mode periods. Disable Do Not Disturb mode or adjust the periods in Do Not Disturb mode.

  2. Sleep status determination

Your device automatically disables reminders after you fall asleep (including when you manually enable Sleep mode).

  3. Activity goal achieved

The system automatically stops sending reminders after you have achieved the hourly activity goal for the day (you have stood up for a certain amount of time each hour).

If the issue persists, restart your watch/band and check again.

Abnormal stand reminder scenarios

  • Misjudgment of stopping when walking: If you are only walking for a short period of time or your watch/band does not record your steps, it may incorrectly determine that you are not exercising. Check whether your watch/band can count steps properly. If not, refer to Inaccurate step count on my HUAWEI watch/band.
  • Misjudgment of low activity: When you are in a low-activity state, such as standing while working or during a meeting, your device may incorrectly trigger the Stand reminder due to insufficient activity.
  • Pre-sleep transition period: When you are lying down but not asleep, if your activity level is extremely low within 60 minutes, your device may incorrectly determine that a reminder is needed.

My watch still sends me stand reminders after I do a mini-workout

  • The mini-workout feature on your HUAWEI watch is designed to help you make use of fragmented time to stay active and develop a habit of exercising at any time. However, the activity level of a mini-workout is usually low and may not meet the activity criterion set by Stand reminder. Therefore, you may still receive a stand reminder after completing a mini-workout.
  • If you have already done a mini-workout and still receive a stand reminder, you may need to stand up again and take another exercise to increase your activity.

If the issue persists, restart your band/watch and check whether the issue is resolved. If the issue remains unresolved, contact the Huawei customer service hotline for assistance. We will do our best to address your needs.
