You can wear a single earbud, or place the earbud in the charging case and pair it with a new device.
- If you remove one of the earbuds while wearing both and Smart wear detection is enabled, audio of the current app may pause. In this case, you need to manually resume playback.
- If you switch from one earbud to the other or start using both of them, audio may pause for 1 to 2 seconds as the two earbuds need to connect to each other.
- The earbuds cannot be individually paired and used with different devices.
- If you lose one of your earbuds, purchase a replacement, place both earbuds in the charging case, and restore them to their factory settings. Then, you can pair and connect the earbuds again.
- Single earbuds do not support firmware updates and cannot be restored to their factory settings.
- Place the earbud you want to pair with your device into the charging case and close the case. Wait for 5 seconds and open the case again.
- Ensure that either the other earbud has been lost, or it is more than 100 meters away from the device (phone/tablet) to be connected.
- Press and hold/Touch and hold the Function button/touch control area for 2 to 10 seconds until the indicator flashes white, indicating that the earbud has entered Pairing mode.
- Re-enable Bluetooth in Settings, find the device name in the list of Available devices or Other devices, and pair the earbud with your device.
Pairing a single WATCH Buds series earbud with a device
- On your device, open the Huawei Health app, tap
in the upper right corner, and go to . - A pairing request will then be displayed on your watch. Tap √.
- If a message is displayed on your watch indicating that one of the earbuds is missing and that they will automatically pair once both are placed in the case and the case is closed, tap Lost an earbud? and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the pairing.
The watch can be updated normally. However, a single earbud does not support resets, version updates, or automatic left-right recognition, and there may be some version compatibility issues. Therefore, it is recommended that you purchase a replacement as soon as possible.
