Unable to charge another device using the USB-C port on the monitor

Problem

The USB-C port on the monitor cannot be used to charge a connected device such as a phone or tablet. (This issue only occurs when the monitor comes with speakers.)

Cause

1. An incorrect USB-C port is used.
2. The standard USB-C cable is not used or the cable is not inserted properly.
3. The charging protocol of the USB-C port on the connected device is incompatible with the USB-C port on the monitor.

Solution

Step 1: Check whether the device to be charged is connected to the monitor's USB Type-C port as shown in the following figure.

Step 2: Check whether the standard USB-C cable is being used and inserted properly. You can remove the cable and insert it again.

Step 3: If the issue persists, the charging protocol of the connected device may be incompatible with the monitor. You are advised to use the standard power adapter of the connected device to charge it.
