The following figure shows the Wi-Fi Extender function of the Mobile WiFi.

When you are in an area covered by Wi-Fi hotspots, you can use Wi-Fi extender to connect your Mobile WiFi to these hotspots to access the Internet, saving your LTE/3G data.

If the Mobile WiFi cannot detect the Wi-Fi hotspots to be connected, perform the following steps:

(1) Check whether the Wi-Fi hotspot can be connected: Use another device, such as a phone or computer, to connect to the Wi-Fi hotspot and check whether the connection is successful. If no Wi-Fi hotspot is detected or the connection fails, set the Wi-Fi hotspot again.

(2) If the mobile phone or other devices can connect to the Wi-Fi hotspot but the Mobile WiFi cannot find the Wi-Fi hotspot, check whether the Wi-Fi channel of the hotspot is supported by the Mobile WiFi. You can manually set the AP Wi-Fi channel to a channel between CH7 and CH10, and scan for the Wi-Fi hotspot again.
