Unable to sync Calendar events from my phone to my HUAWEI watch
 
  • Calendar event syncing from phone to watch is only available on HUAWEI phones whose initial system version is EMUI 10 or later, and only works for events of the current day and the next six days.
  • When the phone's CPU temperature is too high, Calendar event syncing will be halted, and will automatically resume when the temperature returns to normal.

If the events you have added/deleted/modified in Calendar on your phone fail to sync to your watch Calendar, perform the following to troubleshoot.

Ensure that the Bluetooth connection is normal

  1. Make sure that your watch remains connected to Huawei Health over Bluetooth. It is also recommended that Huawei Health be added to the list of protected background apps, so as to prevent it from being cleared from the background.

    To do so, swipe up from the bottom of the screen (or touch the Recent tasks icon if you're using Three-key navigation) to enter the Recent tasks screen. Find Huawei Health and gently swipe down on it to lock it. Once locked, you will see a lock icon at the upper right corner.

  2. If syncing still fails, restart your watch and phone, and check if the issue is resolved.

Ensure that Sync Calendar to watch is enabled in Huawei Health

Go to Huawei Health > Devices, select your device card, go to Device settings > App management > Calendar, and toggle on Sync Calendar to watch.

Update HUAWEI Calendar and Calendar Storage to their latest versions

  • Open AppGallery on your phone and search for Calendar. If an Update prompt displays, follow the instructions to update Calendar to its latest version.
  • If your watch can only sync new events, but not modified or deleted events, update Calendar Storage on your phone to a version later than 12.1.3.320.

    To view the Calendar Storage version on your phone, open Settings, search for and open App manager, touch the four-dot icon in the upper right corner and then Show system processes, search for Calendar, and find Calendar Storage. Please note that Calendar Storage can only be updated with a phone system update.

Update your watch to its latest version

Method 1: Connect your watch to a WLAN network, go to Settings > System & updates > Software update, touch Update, and follow the onscreen instructions.

Method 2: Go to Huawei Health > Devices, select your device card, and touch Firmware update.
