The tablet's Smart Cover mode is incorrectly triggered

The tablet's Smart Cover mode is incorrectly triggered

Problem

When a stylus is near to the bottom of the tablet, the tablet will display a message indicating that it has entered Smart Cover mode.

Cause

The stylus has a magnet inside it. When the stylus or other objects with magnets are near to the bottom of the tablet, the folio cover's sensor will be triggered, causing the tablet to enter Smart Cover mode. The folio cover's sensor on the tablet cannot distinguish whether the magnet is part of a folio cover, a stylus, or another device.

Solution

When a magnet or another object with a magnet is near to the bottom of the tablet, it is normal that the tablet enters Smart Cover mode. This does not indicate an issue with the tablet or folio cover. It is recommended that you remove the stylus or disable Smart Cover mode by going to Settings > Accessibility features > Smart Cover.
