The screen's brightness automatically increases after I manually decrease it

Problem

In the daytime, when the ambient brightness is high and Automatic under BRIGHTNESS is enabled, the screen's brightness automatically increases after the user manually decreases it to the minimum value.

Cause

To ensure that the screen's brightness is at a comfortable level, after Automatic under BRIGHTNESS is enabled, if you manually adjust the screen's brightness and the system detects that the adjusted brightness is not suitable for the ambient brightness, the system will automatically adjust it.

Solution

1. If you have adjusted the screen's brightness by mistake, go to Settings > Display & brightness, disable Automatic under BRIGHTNESS, and enable it again. The screen's brightness will automatically adjust to adapt to the ambient brightness.

2. If you would like to use higher or lower brightness for your screen, go to Settings > Display & brightness and disable Automatic under BRIGHTNESS.
