Some Apple devices such as a Mac Mini and MacBook cannot automatically wake up the MateView screen after being powered on

Problem

Some Apple devices such as a Mac mini or MacBook cannot automatically wake up the MateView screen after being powered on. To wake up the MateView, remove the USB-C cable and insert it again.

Cause

Some Apple devices do not respond to some commands from the MateView and do not send display commands. As a result, there is a small chance that the MateView is not woken up after startup.

Solution

The MateView has passed all tests required by the PD protocols and we will continue to optimize the compatibility mechanism across devices to improve the experience of using various devices.

Short-term solution:

1. After an Apple device such as a Mac mini or MacBook is powered on, remove the USB-C cable that is connected to the Apple device from the MateView and then insert it again to wake up the monitor.

2. If you are using a device with an HDMI or DP port, connect the HDMI or DP port on the device to the MateView.

3. If you are using a device without an HDMI or DP port, connect the device to the MateView through a docking station or through an HDMI or MiniDP port on an adapter.

Note: If the issue persists, escalate the issue and report it to R&D personnel.
