Unable to use the device connected through the USB-A port or a Bluetooth keyboard/mouse when the HDMI/MiniDP port is used for projecting content |
Problem
- When the HDMI/MiniDP port is used for projecting content, the user is unable to use the device connected to the USB-A port of the monitor.
- When the HDMI/MiniDP port is used for projecting content, the user is unable to use the paired Bluetooth keyboard/mouse.
Cause
- You are not using a USB-C to USB-A cable (not provided by default) to connect the computer and monitor. As a result, the USB-A port of the monitor (or the paired Bluetooth keyboard/mouse) cannot be used.
- No power is supplied to the USB-A port of the monitor, resulting in the connected devices not working.
Solution
1. Use a USB-C to USB-A cable to connect the monitor and computer. (Connect the USB-A end to the computer. For details, see the user guide.)
Note: The USB-C to USB-A cable is not a standard accessory and needs to be purchased separately. It is recommended that you purchase a Ugreen USB3.0 Type-A to Type-C cable.
2. Use the USB-C port for projecting content (no additional cable is required). In this case, the USB-A port of the monitor and the paired Bluetooth keyboard/mouse will work properly.
3. Use the USB-A port of the computer to connect to devices such as USB devices.
4. If the issue persists, check whether the USB mouse has a power supply. If the USB-A port cannot supply power, call the Huawei customer service hotline.
