Problem
The user is unable to charge some iPhones via the USB-A port on the side of a MateView monitor.
Cause
If the USB-C port on the side of the MateView monitor is not connected to a computer, the USB-A port on the monitor can only provide a 5 V power supply (without data transmission) and does not support BC 1.2 for charging. Therefore, some iPhones (that require BC 1.2 for charging) cannot be charged when connected to the USB-A port.
Solution
- When you are using the HDMI/miniDP port for projection, it is recommended that you use a USB-C to USB-A cable to connect the monitor to a computer (with the USB-A end connecting to the computer and the USB-C end connecting to the monitor). In this case, you will be able to charge your iPhone at 5 V via the USB-A port on the side of the monitor.
