Check the ear tips' size.

HUAWEI in-ear earbuds usually come with ear tips of different sizes in the pack. Flip open the ear tips and check the ear tip's size next to the sound output hole. The ear tips come in four sizes: XS, S, M, and L.

 

• FreeBuds Pro 4/ FreeBuds Pro 3/FreeBuds 5i come with a pair of XS-sized ear tips.
• FreeBuds 5 earbuds only come with one size of ear tips, which you can choose to attach to the earbuds as needed.

Select suitable ear tips

The pre-installed ear tips may not be the best fit for you. The M-sized ear tips are attached to the earbuds by default, but you can replace them with another pair that better fits your ears, or use a different ear tip size for each ear if it is most comfortable that way.

Select an appropriate size:

1. If the earbuds do not fit securely or fall out of ears when you wear the earbuds, choose larger-sized ear tips.
2. If the earbuds squeeze the ear canals or the ear tips are slightly large, choose smaller-sized ear tips.

Clean and replace the ear tips

Remove: Pinch the earbud and ear tip separately with your two hands, and gently pull out the ear tip to remove it.

Clean: Use a cotton swab or a clean soft brush to remove the dust and earwax from the steel mesh part of the earbud.

Install: Align the hole on the new ear tip with the sound output part on the earbud, and push the ear tip onto the earbud.

FreeBuds Pro 4 FreeBuds Pro 3 FreeBuds Pro 2 FreeBuds Pro FreeBuds 4i FreeBuds SE FreeLace	Align the L/M/S mark on the interior of the ear tip with the center of the air vent on the earbud to put the ear tip on.   The ear tips of FreeBuds Pro 3 and FreeBuds Pro 2 are interchangeable, but it is recommended that you always use the ear tips from the same pack for the left and right earbuds. FreeBuds Pro 3 comes with a pair of XS-sized ear tips.
FreeBuds 6i FreeBuds 5i	Gently push the ear tip onto the upper part of the slot, and stretch it over the slot completely so that it is firmly attached. The ear tips of the FreeBuds 6i and FreeBuds 5i series are not interchangeable.
FreeLace Pro 2 FreeLace Lite FreeLace Pro	Do not pull the ear tips using your fingernails or any sharp objects, as doing so may damage the ear tips. After you replace the ear tips, make sure that the two ear tip openings are aligned.

If the ear tips or ear caps are damaged or deformed, you can purchase them from an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center.
