How to pivot the monitor vertically and set Portrait mode in the computer system settings

Method 1:

• If the stand is integrated with the back of the monitor, the monitor does not support vertical pivot.
• If the stand can be detached from the back of the monitor, the monitor supports vertical pivot (by pushing the button upwards to unlock the stand).

Method 2:

• If the monitor cannot be raised and lowered, it does not support vertical pivot.
• If the monitor can be raised and lowered, it supports vertical pivot.

Method 3:

• If the stand beam attaches to the lower part of the monitor, the monitor does not support vertical pivot.
• If the stand attaches to the middle part of the monitor, the monitor supports vertical pivot.

1. Stand the monitor upright, and adjust the monitor height to the highest and the tilt angle to the maximum.

   

   

   If the monitor height is not adjusted to the highest or the tilt angle is not adjusted to the maximum, the monitor may scratch the base of the stand when you pivot it.

   

2. While facing the monitor, hold the upper right corner of the monitor with your right hand and the lower left corner of the monitor with your left hand. Pivot the monitor clockwise by 90°. You will need to apply a bit of force to get the monitor to start pivoting.

   

3. The operation is complete when the monitor is completely vertical. You can adjust the tilt angle and height of the screen to an appropriate position based on your usage habits.

   

When the monitor is connected to a laptop or desktop computer, you can set Portrait mode in the system settings of the connected computer.

1. Right-click on the blank area of the desktop and choose Display settings from the shortcut menu.

   

2. Select a monitor and set Display orientation to Portrait.
   • If your computer has only one monitor: In Scale & layout, click the option box next to Display orientation and choose Portrait to enable Portrait mode.
   • If your computer has multiple monitors: Click Identify in the display list. A number will be displayed in the lower left corner of each monitor. From the display list, select the corresponding number of the monitor you want to switch to Portrait mode. In Scale & layout, click the option box next to Display orientation and choose Portrait to enable Portrait mode.
