My HUAWEI mouse disconnects from the computer after being taken out of a bag

Problem

The HUAWEI Bluetooth mouse/HUAWEI Wireless Mouse disconnects from the computer after being taken out of a bag.

Cause

  • When a mouse is put into a bag powered on, items in the bag may press the Flash-Switch button at the bottom of the mouse, which triggers mouse re-pairing or switchover between connection channels. As a result, the mouse disconnects from the connected computer.
  • When the mouse is powered off, it cannot be connected to the computer.

Solution

If the mouse is powered off, power it on and wait for it to reconnect to the computer. If the mouse is powered on, try either of the following:

  • Method 1: If the mouse comes with a Flash-Switch button, power it on, then press and hold the Flash-Switch button for 3 to 5 seconds until the indicator flashes white. Then the mouse is ready to pair.

  • Method 2: Disconnect and re-pair the mouse as follows:
    1. In Windows, go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices, and delete the mouse's pairing records.

Click to go to Bluetooth & devices

    2. Reconnect the mouse to the computer.
