AR Measure on my HUAWEI phone fails to accurately measure height

Problem:

The user uses AR Measure on their HUAWEI phone to measure height, but the result is obviously inaccurate.

Cause:

When measuring people's height, measurement results are affected by the measuring distance, measuring environment, measured subjects' clothes, and the method used for measuring.

Solution:

When measuring your height, pay attention to the following:

  • Make sure your phone is 1.5–2 m away from your objects.
  • Measure your subjects when they are standing in front of a patterned background. Avoid highly reflective backgrounds.
  • Your subjects should be standing side by side and facing your phone. Make sure that only your subjects are in the viewfinder and that they are not wearing hats or dressed all in black.
  • Height measurements work for up to three people at a time. To measure their height, align the starting point with the feet of the person standing in the center and slowly lift your phone to fit the subject into the viewfinder. Once their face is detected, height information will be displayed. If there are other people standing side by side with the subject, their height information will also be displayed once their faces are detected.
