The Active calories displayed in Activity rings are less than those burned during an individual workout on my HUAWEI watch |
Problem
After the user starts and completes an individual workout, the Active calories displayed in Activity rings are less than those displayed on their watch.
Cause
The calories burned during individual workouts display as total calories, and include both Resting calories and Active calories. Activity rings only show the Active calories, so the value displayed is smaller. (You can go to Diet log > Total calories to view the Resting calories from 00:00 to now, and divide the value by the hours to calculate the hourly Resting calories.)
- Active calories: Calories burned through activity, such as working out, house chores, and other exercise. The Chinese Dietary Guidelines recommend that adults burn at least 240–360 kcal of calories every day, equivalent to 30 minutes of cycling, 10 minutes of walking, and 20 minutes of playing badminton. The Huawei Health app calculates the recommended intensity based on expert conclusions and your health status.
- Resting calories: Calories naturally consumed by the body in a day. Resting calories during a workout refer to the average calories during the workout.
- Total calories: Active calories + Resting calories
Currently, certain wearable devices can display Active and Total calories burned during individual workouts.
