The text in the editing area of WPS Office PC Software Engine is displayed abnormally

Problem:

After the user opens a Word, Excel, or PPT document via WPS Office PC Software Engine, the text in the editing area is displayed as blank, garbled characters, or abnormally.

Reply:

  1. After you open a document via WPS Office PC Software Engine, if the entire document text is displayed abnormally, check whether the current document uses a font that is not supported in WPS Office PC Software Engine. If only certain characters are displayed abnormally, the missing font might be replaced with an existing font, but the front doesn't contain certain characters, resulting in abnormal display of certain characters.

    You can touch Menu in the upper left corner, and go to Options > View > Font substitution to check the missing fonts and substitute fonts in the current document. If the text is not properly displayed, you can manually replace the current font with a font that can be properly displayed.

  2. When you use WPS Office PC Software Engine to open and edit a document, if certain characters in the editing area are displayed abnormally, you can try other fonts or select the characters that are displayed abnormally and change the font until the characters can be displayed normally.

    For example, certain characters are incorrectly displayed in the following figure.

    After the font is changed, the characters are normally displayed, as shown in the following figure.
