| Updating HUAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard software |
Ensure that your keyboard is properly connected. If your keyboard does not properly work with your tablet, call the Huawei customer service hotline to learn more about how to use the keyboard.
You can manually check for updates or perform an update as prompted.
Manually check for updates
NearLink keyboard: After connecting to the keyboard, go to Settings > Accessibility features > Keyboard > Firmware update to start the keyboard update.
Bluetooth keyboard: After your keyboard is connected to a tablet, on the tablet, go to Settings > Bluetooth, find the keyboard in the PAIRED DEVICES list, touch the gear icon (
) on the right of the keyboard name, and go to Firmware update > CHECK FOR UPDATES. If a new version is available, the new version details screen will display. Touch DOWNLOAD & INSTALL to start the keyboard update.
Update through the displayed dialog box
The keyboard will periodically detect new versions in the background. When a new version is available, a dialog box will be displayed on the tablet's home screen, prompting you to update the version. In addition, the following three buttons are provided: LATER, DETAILS, and DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL. You will then need to manually confirm the update.
