The authentication screen fails to be displayed when I connect my HUAWEI phone/tablet to a public Wi-Fi network |
The Portal authentication screen varies depending on public Wi-Fi networks, and certain web pages may fail to be displayed on the browser of your phone/tablet due to compatibility issues.
Perform the following to troubleshoot:
- Close the browser and open it again, open a web page, and try again.
- Use another browser app and try again.
- Delete the cached data in the browser. (Open HUAWEI Browser, go to Me > Settings, touch Clear browsing data, and select Cached pages and Cookies to clear the data.)
If you are using a third-party browser, follow the onscreen instructions or contact the customer service of the third-party browser.
- Go to Settings > Wi-Fi, touch and hold the name of the connected Wi-Fi network, select Modify network, and select Show advanced options. Then, try to connect to the Wi-Fi network using the device's MAC address.
- If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
Thanks for your feedback.
