Unable to open Control Panel shortcuts from the taskbar in the lower right corner of my HUAWEI computer screen

Problem

The Control Panel shortcuts (Wi-Fi, Sound, Bluetooth, and other icons) on the taskbar in the lower right corner of the HUAWEI computer running Windows 11 are unavailable.

Cause

This issue is caused by a temporary crash or system exception in Windows File Explorer.

Solution

  1. Restart Task Manager:
    1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
    2. On the Processes tab, select the Task Manager process and click Restart task.

  2. Restore system files:

    Enter "cmd" in the search box on the taskbar and right-click Command Prompt, and click Run as administrator:

    Enter Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth and press Enter.

    Enter DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth and press Enter.

    Enter DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and press Enter.

    Enter sfc /scannow and press Enter.

  3. Update the system to the latest version by referring to Updating my HUAWEI computer's Windows system to the latest version. After the update is complete, restart the computer and try again.

If the issue remains unresolved

If the issue persists, back up your data, record your Office account that has been activated, and use F10 to restore your device to its factory settings.
