Files in PDF, Word, Excel, and PPT formats cannot be previewed in File Explorer on my HUAWEI computer

Problem

Files in PDF, Word, Excel, and PPT formats cannot be previewed in File Explorer, and a blank page is displayed on the HUAWEI computer.

Cause

This issue is caused by the system settings or other third-party software.

Solution

1. Open the Task Manager settings.

2. On the View tab, select Show preview handlers in preview pane.

3. Go to Settings > Apps > Default apps, and change the opening mode of apps such as Word and Excel to Office apps (if you have downloaded other third-party apps).
   

   If the issue persists, it is recommended that you uninstall third-party apps, such as WPS and Xundu PDF by referring to Uninstall apps from a HUAWEI computer.

If the issue remains unresolved

If the issue persists, back up your data, record your Office account that has been activated, and use F10 to restore your device to its factory settings.
